How it works

Screw or ratchet the FlexPlate base to a tree or post, cut a fresh branch on site, lock it into the base, and prime it with the included HODAG AllSeason Scent to trigger that first interaction. Once deer start working the branch, they keep the scent fresh themselves — no reapplying, no repeated trips in that pressure your setup. Need to move it? Back out the screws or pop the ratchet strap and reset it somewhere new in minutes.

Pick a spot within range of your stand or camera along a travel route, field edge, or between bedding and feeding areas. Deer are naturally drawn to overhanging branches, so a good limb in a high-traffic spot gets worked fast.

When does a licking branch work best?
Scrape activity peaks in the pre-rut and rut, but deer communicate at overhanging branches year-round — so your setup stays productive well outside those windows.

Do I have to keep reapplying scent?
No. The included AllSeason Scent gets it started, and once deer begin marking the branch they keep it fresh on their own. As long as they are using it consistently, there is no need to reapply scent.
